"McCarthy excels at a variety of accents, smoothly portrays multiple genders, and captures the seductive tones of the dragons when they are in human form. Her narration transitions from humor to action to tenderness with aplomb. McCarthy is also perfect for the talented and dangerous Nadia while ensuring that the other colorful characters are just as dynamic."
“Another awesome story read by my new favorite narrator! Enjoy!!”
“Totally badass- this narrator rocks!!!!”
“Hollis McCarthy has become my favorite female narrator!!”
“The narrator is very versatile with her voices adding a degree of rich texture to the reading rarely experienced in a talking book. Buy the whole series- you won’t regret it.”
"Hollis McCarthy does a good job portraying both the teacher and the inmates. She conveys empathy for the men while evoking deep sympathy for their victims, both the dead and their loved ones. McCarthy's performance avoids the pitfalls of being overly censorious of or pitying toward the inmates. This is a very good, clear-eyed audiobook."
“I choose books based on the narrator. I love Hollis McCarthy. She transports you into the story so you feel like you are really there.”
“LOVED this series! What could be a better combination than the Great British Baking Show, witches, and murder? The narrator is one of the best I've heard so far too.”
“The author does such an outstanding job of connecting you to the characters by making you feel like a confidant rather than a reader. The narrator enhances that by making it feel like she is talking directly to you rather than just saying the words.”
More samples of Hollis' audiobooks, including Sword & Sorcery, Regency Romance, many dialects & a fight scene because Hollis loves to fight with swords.
